6thSense: Teknologi yang betul-betul di hujung jari anda?

.

Itulah teknologi SixthSense~~

Apa itu SixthSense? Mari lihat video dibawah, kita saksikan susur galur teknologi dulu-dulu menjadi teknologi serba tahu menahu~~ X-D

Pranav Mistry: The thrilling potential of SixthSense technology.
"Macam kurang je tiang bangunan nih, amik gambar jap~~" :-P

BumpTop & WinFlip: Desktop Display Will Never Be the Same Again~

.
Talking about being different: Is your desktop looks pretty similar like an average Joe computer? :-? Would you to like change your old plain boring desktop display to the next level? Stay with me please~~  X-D

This week my focus is more on computer and tech, so I'm going slow with my other blog. huhu... :-(

One of my friends requests me to format his computer with the new Windows 7, but after checking his hardware compatibility, sorry bro, you can only satisfy your computer up to Win 7 Pro, bye bye to Win 7 Ultimate~ X-O

The only feature he like from Windows 7 is the Aero Flip 3D. But how to get that for a computer with Windows XP Professional? Hurmmm..

Nice rite? I want, I want!!~
Where can I get similar software to emulate Flip 3D in Windows XP? After some googling for "flip 3D in Windows XP", this one helpful blog is giving me what I want. WinFlip 0.50, I Love youuuuuuuuuuuuuu~~

You can flip it with Win + Tab or by using circular mouse gesture~~   ;-)
(Oh, don't forget to change the alphabets too~) I did found TopDesk and ShockAero3D, but I still prefer WinFlip 0.50. WinFlip does not need any installation. Download it from the Official WinFlip mirror here, (version 0.50) and extract it in your Program files. Click on the WinFlip icon to start the software, and adjust your options. It would be advisable not to out do the software if your computer is low on RAM, but the default setting is good already. Click 'Run automatically' so that WinFlip runs every time you start your computer.

Another software that would distinctively differentiate you and your fellow computer friends is this desktop display software: BumpTop. This 3D deskop display is too great I'm speechless to write it as a blog post. Here is one video to show you it's awesomeness~~

BumpTop 1.0 - 3D Desktop Zen.
Too cool to be true... X-D
Errr.. after some youtubing I've found similar desktop display program... Now, which software is good actually?  :-?

Shock Desktop 3-D: 3-D Desktop Environment.

Oooo.. owkay..

Hmmmm? Similar to BumpTop?
Real Desktop Professional.

Similar software but with modifications: My Real Desktop 3D part 2.

This one makes me remember Half Life...
My 3DNA Desktop

And the last video...(You might want to turn the volume down a little bit...)
5 Programs to Customize Your Desktop
Dektop Icon Toy, RocketDock, BumpTop, Cube Desktop, TopDesk (alt-tab) All in One. (that guy is "crazy", LOL).

Depends with your taste, if you choose to change your desktop display like this, be prepared with extra unused RAM in your CPU. Seriously, this kind of software eats a lot of your system resources. Don't say that I didn't warned you.. X-O

Before I leave, this is the link to download your BumpTop software: BumpTop 2.0 build 5790 from Download.com. Many thanks to Jauhari.net for this BumpTop article.

Missing Statusbar in Firefox 4 beta 7?!

.
Yeah, this is not an important post, but I like to test-write it. I've heard Mozilla will release another beta this November, and I don't know when. And today, while browsing some internet information, my Firefox asks me whether to install their new beta release or not, and I say yes.

Daa daa daaa.. (installing). Daa daa daaa... (restarting).

Whoaaa.. This new Firefox beta has already being Googled!!! Nooooooooooooooooooo!!!
Experience the Firefox simplicity and you'll know what I meant by being Googled.

Oh okay, I'll just write it here to avoid the extra work. The overall design become so simple and clean. But some usual buttons is gone. Like the Refresh and the Stop button. Simple is nice, as they say before. And, the infamous Status bar, the bar once situated down below in our internet browser now.. is gone... What?! X-O

What is a Status bar? From WiseGeek, Status bar in an internet browser:
  • shows the computer’s progress in loading the website. (done, redirecting, transferring, stopped, loading, etc..)
  • shows how much of the page has been loaded. Once the page is completely loaded, the bar goes blank again.
  • shows the URL address of the hypertext link when the user places his or her cursor over the link.

Status bar also is used to view some of Firefox add-ons. And for me, I tried to limit add-ons from crowding my Status bar because I really need to see the full URL for any hypertext link. Status bar is crucial to me! :-P

"Enough rants already, now show us how to get back status bar in Firefox 4 beta 7!"
Nope, I can't~   :-P
"Why?"
Status bar IS embedded inside our address bar already... Check it yourself~

Did you see that URL for the 'more' option showed up in our address bar?

"And, how to view our add-ons inside the Status bar again?"
Oh, that one can be arranged. Follow my steps below~

1.) Click on the empty space next to the new tab.
Click on the Add-on Bar, please :-)

2.) Now you can see your compatible Firefox add ons again~~
At the moment most of the add ons is incompatible with Firefox 4 beta 7, especially my Alexa Sparky... :-(
Hurmmm. I'm grateful my add ons can be viewed again, this is good, better than nothing, rite? :-)

QR code: This is Quick but My Response is Slow... Oh? Mathe-Magic is Inside? :-P

.
Yeah, you probably heard this QR code already. Ooigi too, have seen it but never try to find out what is this rectangular "maze-code" (derived from bar-code) is all about. Like usual, Wiki is a great place for our QR info-digging and sometimes we can almost see Wiki in the top 10 SERPs for Google.com. Eh? Wrong blog for IM? :-P

"Borrowed" from Wiki:
QR in full means Quick Response. Usually seen with a visible black dot rectangle, QR code is a black&white maze-looking barcode able to show information in 2-dimensional way. The above example is a QR code for http://Ooigi.blogspot.com, and you can see the visible black dot rectangle mentioned before.  ;-)

Information encoded is read vertically and horizontally, hence it's called the 2D code. This way of data encoding enables more data representation, up to several hundred times more compared to data read from ordinary bar codes. Different data type can be made into a QR code, such as:
  1. Normal text, just any text.
  2. Your website URL.
  3. RSS feeds.
  4. Telephone number.
  5. Text message, or SMS.
  6. E-mail address.
  7. E-mail address together with e-mail message.
  8. Your contact details: vCard or meCard.
  9. Events (vCalendar).
  10. Google Maps.
  11. WiFi network.
  12. Paypal "Buy now" link.
  13. Last but not least, our own social media profile - Twitter tweets, Facebook profile/page, MySpace, LinkedIn or our FourSquare venue~   :-D
  14. (You can say that you can fit almost any information as a QR code~)

QR code for image? Your version of graphical QR code can be found in Design QR. Or try read a QR comic then, heehee~~   X-D (To read the next chapter, click the underscore sign _ located on your left, at the uppermost part).

How to read a QR code? You can use the QR scanner/reader itself, use your mobile phones (the one with a camera), or use your smartphones. If you wish to read QR code online, you can do it in ZXing Decoder Online~ (Or I should rather say online QR reader/scanner?)  :-?

QR Code Scanner Apps for iPhone
Bakodo, iDecoder, QRReader, Scanner, and ZBar: free iPhone application to read a QR code.

QR code is free to use and there is no need to apply any license for it. And QR code is a registered trademark of Denso Wave Incorporated. To create a free QR code for yourself, you may visit these sites and download the image~~   :-D

Even this QR codes is still new to us, QR code has attract many people to use it. Some even integrate it into the "treasure hunt" game, where you need to search for the next hidden QR code to get the next clue. I don't know either this code is good to be the next puzzle novel but i can be quite an interesting unique photoblog novel~ ;-)

autorun.inf Compilations: Being "Automatic" is a Complicated Pain in the Neck.

.
Actually I've finished my autorun.inf compilation a while ago, but didn't have my time to write a post about it. And this post is initially my way of distraction-killer because I always get distracted when writing other blog posts. hurmmmmm.. :-(

Strangely, when I was just the one who notices some incoming trends or going to write a sudden niche or sharing the world a piece of my mind, the world around me has already started writing my stuff, LOL. My life is somewhat always like that. My silver lining is I have more free time coz the question for my answer is already there for me, but at times I wanted to be that *pioneer blogger* too!   ;-)

Okies dokies. Here is another of my self-claim "analysis" then, presenting...
autorun.inf Compilations: Being "Automatic" is a Complicated Pain in the Neck?!

Autorun.inf compilations

A personal compilation of 37 bad autorun.inf I gathered from USB drives.. X-O And, sorry for my silly mistake, I should've write autorun commands instead of autorun scripts. Commands is the real term, and script is my wrong-imagination term - I hope you gets the real idea (and the real term)... :-(

Continued analysis (from the ebook):
  • From Wikipedia, autorun.inf have five (5) sections: [autorun], [content], [exclusivecontentpaths], [ignorecontentpaths], and [deviceinstall]. Only [autorun] section and it's keys is used throughout the whole compilations.
  • [autorun] and [deviceinstall] section can be found in Windows XP or later. The other three - [content], [exclusivecontentpaths] and [ignorecontentpaths] can be found in Windows Vista or later version of Windows.
  • and, before, between or after a section, actually you can write almost anything into a autorun.inf file. As from the compilations above, you can see how they masks the autorun.inf keys with blablabla texts to hide the real commands. Pretty sneaky eh? ;-)
  • While usually Windows reads AutoRun commands in English, I don't know whether commands written in other languages is in effects too. What I know is, I don't trust autorun.inf sometimes.
