World's First Samsung Chromebook is... Google'd.

.: How can I say it? It's the truth and nothing but the truth. Eh?

Samsung Chromebook, is another version of personalized netbook built based on Google Chrome OS. Because a netbook usually cannot do nothing much or less powered compared to a normal laptop or a desktop, this Chromebook is an exception. It contains nothing!

Srsly? :-? (Yes, you're supposed to imagine the dramatic srsly eagle right now)

The thing is, a netbook is not made to used as a desktop pc or a laptop in the first place. The sole purpose of a netbook in this world is to surf the internet, only internet and nothing but the Net, not to perform other unnecessary tasks and filled with all softwares like a real desktop. This will results a super slow netbook, becomes easily overheat because of too much activity and pretty heavy just to fit everything inside it.

So, in order to avoid being in the same problematic netbook group, the clever guys in Google partnered with another group of clever guys from Samsung to build a netbook just for that one purpose, to surf the internet waves...

Samsung got Doodle'd.
Thus, the Samsung Chromebook is born~~

I can boast about Chromebook even if I don't know how to boast, but one thing I notice: "practically" there's nothing installed inside Chromebook for us to use. It was a plain simple black and white 1.66Ghz netbook installed with Chrome OS (read: Google Chrome browser). Why? Every so-called "apps" inside it is actually an oversized thumbnail linking to the "application" webpage.

You want your email? Chromebook got you a Gmail. You want your Skype? Chromebook got you Google Talk. You want your Office (Word, Excel)? Chromebook got you Google Docs. You want your Photoshop/GIMP? Chromebook got you a Picasa. You want your MTV? Chromebook got you Youtube. You want your (you name it here), Chromebook gives you (put an internet website that offered similar service like what you named before here). Blah blah blah. All this is an online services, that's why it was nothing inside Chromebook at all~~

Oh, I forgot. Why there is nothing inside? Because they store it in the cloud, lol~ :-P

Before further ramblings is written in this blog, let's see what Samsung Chromebook has to offer us..

Samsung Chromebook 5 series official spot - video teaser
This sleek notebook gives me an idea..

I want a similar notebook which runs with Ubuntu, because I'm not really like the "Googled" OS idea. This will make the netbook price more cheaper, and this is also about the news that all users activities collected from all around the globe is turned into a super massive statistical data sometimes freak me out. I am not a test subject, and I don't want to be one, even if you want to be the next real life Skynet. No no noo~ :-P

Enough about too much terminator, you can get further information and Chromebook reviews from:
