Of course I don't have the actual phone yet. But watching these videos, I assure you I won't trade my Samsung A6+ yet. It's better to wait for OnePlus to merge both OnePlus 6 and OnePlus 6T together in one model.
OnePlus X6T??? (you traitor!)
Wait, I don't randomly say OnePlus is our Android traitor, but I heard it from Angie Zampona say it.
I already have arrange some review videos and let's start with something soft and later we go to the killer review zone. You'll get what I meant later.
OnePlus 6T from Youtube. |
First video: OnePlus 6T promo video~
The coveted proper fingerprint hint~ Yesssss!!
That is Sic.
The second video : Review by Dave Lee - the heat sensor guy!
I prefer him to scan the heat emitted by this phone just like he scan the notorious overheating Macbook. But, oh well. Points taken from this video :
- Teardrop shape notch is the ooooooooomphh bon appetite~
- Fingerprint sensor under the screen is cool, but slower than the usual fingerprint sensor found at the back of OnePlus 6.
- if your finger is wet, say goodbye to that sensor. Use your face unlock instead.
- This
badboytraitor is thicc. - Sadly, NO headphone jack. What. The. Jack??!
- Warning, eight legged sighted.
My third video : Ma man MKBHD review.
My second favorite daily driver guy after Lewis Hilsenteger. He gives out good points too, which is
- Yep. Teardrop notch is the new black. A curvy one *wink*
- fingerprint sensor Vivo < OnePlus 6T fingerprint sensor < TouchId or physical fingerprint sensor, the official meme review rating.
- The cons of this under the screen fingerprint sensor is how they execute it. OnePlus 6T will turn their screen brightness to the fullest in order to scan your fingerprint. During the day it didn't get noticed much, but during the night it certainly gives you some discomfort.
- Battery champion.
- "No headphone jack because of the larger battery and the fingerprint reader under the screen eats up so much space." - OnePlus 6T 2018.
- Hi there. It's General DBrand!
- Verizon and T-mobile friendly (soon).
- Peace!
Say Hi to the fourth video : Canadian LinusHomeTips in house coat.
Gotta say his marble table is delicious~
- Little animation = futuristic. Cool. I approve.
- The reason why under the screen fingerprint sensor is the best move compared to traditional-hiding-at-the-back-sensor is: there is no need to waste your energy lifting your smartphone that resting on the table to scan your finger, because you can just tap on it directly. Easy tap easy life, right? (compares with Apple phone). I approve.
- The least obtrusive notch design award : because it contains all-in-one package, namely the front camera, light+color temperature+distance sensor in one cute place. (compares mechanical camera next). :-P
- Drop test coming, like a boss. (Yeah old meme).
- Condom type case. Yes Canadian Linus can say that. I approve again.
- USB-C to 3.5mm audio dongle \old man appears/
- 3 finger screenshot, draw O to launch camera, draw M to open Maps, etc etc.
- 19.5:9 aspect ratio. Whoaaaa...
And here comes the best video (cause I visit their website to compare new phone specs to my current phone every so often) : GSMArena the sharpest eye~
I know it's boring to hear the same 6T specs again and again, but can I point out some info not found in other video review?
- I can't stop watching the LegendLegend Hat.
- Oppo and Vivo are great couple. Their kid 6T is even greater.
- This kid is not lit, because LED light is missing. *bummer*
- I didn't mind stiff mute button because if it too smooth it defeats the true purpose. If it slides easily silent phone will ring so sudden in my meeting and it will spook everybody. Not ideal there, not that ideal.
- Her finger failed the sensor. Is it wet?
- I heard UD fingerprint reader. UD stands for Under Display. I gsmarena-ed it for you.
- Super color accurate. Wow~
- OnePlus is hypocrite. They mock Apple removing the headphone jack and now they joined the movement. Even after asking users what they want and still they go for jackless phone. What the jack! Traitor!
- Gaming mode mentioned.
- Here navigation option is cleverly implemented.
- Different battery mAh.
- The twin camera built is... what? Whyyyy???
- I love new smartphone review that comes together with their actual camera and video review/comparison.
- Google Pixel 3 Helicopter pad of a notch. Savage!
Andddddd, the very best is served last.
I would like to remind you, if you cannot stand phone abuse video, please exclude this. I just wanna share it because it completes the review very well.
- Sarcasm is everywhere. I approve again.
- S reflection is a new kind of review. Different eyes sees and catches different aspect.
- Experiments have been done and green light is your best fingerprint friend.
- Define indiscernible. He's comparing how invisible the fingerprint sensor placed under this screen compared to other smartphones. How genius!
- Please follow his do and don'ts. I've learned the hard way mixing keys and phone screens accidentally.
- Unboxing videos comes with this subtle satisfying plastic peel audio, but this video screams pain into your deepest soul with the scratch test. Told ya this video is abusive. It pains more when listened with our headphone....
- Oh, I mentioned already, 6T is the new black. Hahahahaha. It comes from this video~
- This phone is tough. Build 6T tough. (Ford slogan inspiration).
- You can flex your OnePlus 6T while flexing the phone itself. Oh no! Call the mobile police. We got an abuser here!
If you happened to have Samsung smartphone like me but uses OnePlus wallpaper, here is the link to the wallpaper creator himself : Hampus Olsson.
And in some point while watching all these videos, I've been thinking on can I tumblr-ed or Deviantart-ed the 'Never Settle' font for other project? Well, there is no information about the font itself, but I found something kinda related, if you know what I mean... OnePlus Slate font. Please oh please read the disclaimer and understand it. Go Google Translate if you need to. I do not want to be associated with any wrongdoings.
Ooigi.blog: "USD 6++ converted to MYR is likely RM 2,400. Oh myyyyy... Good bye OnePlus 6T. I pray that you will be cheaper soon. Especially your newest model which combines 6 and 6T specs..."
